In this workshop, through practical advice, ritual and ceremony, Sobonfu will share the ancient knowledge of her West African culture, offering ways to make our intimate lives more fulfilling and secure, as well as, giving powerful insights into the illusion of romance, divorce, and loss.”

Earthing - Spiritual Practices for Life on Earth

Sunday, February 5, 10:00AM-5:00PM
Holos Institute , 5463 College Avenue, Oakland
$90
http://www.holosinstitute.net/earthing.html
“This experiential retreat will weave together the understandings and practices of mindfulness meditation, agni yoga and shamanism. Earthing is a way of experiencing the love, joy, wisdom and peace of your essential nature, in your body, mind and all your relations - a way of experiencing the light of your spirit in your life on Earth.
Spiritual teachings often place a primary focus on the experience of the infinite and formless essential nature. However, we live in physical bodies and have minds whose nature it is to be in relationship. The Earthing workshop is designed to support, encourage and empower you to develop a spiritual practice with a strong focus on the well-being of your body/mind and the family of living beings that comprise our home on Earth. This practice moves you towards a more sustained awareness of the Spirit within all that is, and at the same time a more conscious, respectful, and compassionate way of relating to whatever and whoever you meet in life.”

“Beautiful woman...
In celebration of International Self-Love Day on February 13, let’s get together in a teleclass to celebrate the love you can feel for yourself so strongly when you’re connected to Spirit, to Source.
This is a love that will hold you in its soft embrace as you envision and act on all the audacious goals you’ve set for yourself in this new year. (Don’t worry if you haven’t set or completed your goals yet, on this call I will be guiding you to your own clear vision of what’s next for you, in all areas of your life.)
In the class you will write a love letter to yourself from Spirit (the Goddess, God, nature…) congratulating you on all the awesome actions you will have taken and goals you will have achieved by the time 2012 comes to a close.
Bonus! Your love letter will be mailed back to you. As a special bonus for attending this class, if you send me your love letter with a stamped and self-addressed envelope by March 20th, I'll hold it in a sacred place in my house until December 21st, when I'll send it back to you. You’ll get your very own love letter from Spirit in the mail! How fun - and powerful - is that?
Date: Monday, February 13, 2012 , Time: 1:30-2:30PM Pacific, 10:30-11:30AM Eastern. Can’t make the call live? No worries, there will be a recording that I can email to you.
To get your call-in details for the Love Letter from Spirit teleclass, all you need to do is RSVP on my Facebook event page (see link above). If you’re not on Facebook, send me a note (at the email address above), or a message on Twitter (www.twitter.com/MagnoliasWest), or send smoke signals. We’ll get you on the call!
Cost: Open contribution. That’s right! I want to fully share this work with you, from my own loving heart, and if you feel full and complete and grateful, and want to give back at the end, then I will invite you to make a contribution to me and my work, so that I can continue doing what I am meant to do. Please relax into this open contribution idea. Toward the end of the call, I will help you work out the right amount for you to donate. For now, please enjoy this beautiful self-loving process we will be sharing together.
Last thing: If you know a woman or two who would resonate with this working, please spread the word! Thanks...
Blessings and love,
Sue”

Dance beautiful rotary waltzes, polkas, mazurka waltzes, schottisches, quadrilles, mixers, and other set dances popular during the time of Charles Dickens, beautifully arranged by Bangers and Mash, the finest band in Dickens' London. All set dances will be briefly taught or called at the ball.

Suggested costume is evening dress from the time of Mr. Dickens' active literary career (1837-1871) or modern evening dress. Given the talent of our San Francisco Bay Area costumers, this should be an extremely beautiful costume evening, but, as always, costumes are admired but not required.”

Are your relationships nurturing and celebrating your gifts?
Are you honoring the gifts in others?
We all struggle now and then with our closest relationships - marriage, partnership, friendship and community. In those times we need tools and processes that help deepen our connection to each other, to ourselves, and to nature. Our closest relationships require tending in order to thrive.
In this workshop, through practical advice, ritual and ceremony, Sobonfu will share the ancient knowledge of her West African culture, offering ways to make our intimate lives more fulfilling and secure, as well as, giving powerful insights into the illusion of romance, divorce, and loss.”
Sobonfu Some says:
"In Burkina Faso, a relationship is considered good if it makes it easier for both people to contribute their gifts to the community.”

Earthing - Spiritual Practices for Life on Earth
A day long retreat with Alan Levin, LMFT

Sue says:
Thanks...
Blessings and love,
Sue”
