“Join us for enchanting rituals designed to manifest new realities in your life, using the magic inherent in a circle of powerful women to call them into being.

Women's Visioning Circle
Saturday, 10:00AM-9:30PM
Inspiring, delightful, and empowering, our first day of ritual creates a safe and sacred space in which we:
Dive deep to discover what blocks treasured goals from coming true.  Drum and chant as each woman releases her blocks to the fire.  Explore life purpose.  Share the pleasures of creating colorful Treasure Maps as you develop goals in nine areas of your life.  Experience the depth and awe of a circle in which peers and colleagues witness each woman breathing life and power into her fondest visions.  Co-create magic for ourselves and for the planet in sacred celebration.
Women report dreams coming true all year from this empowerment ritual!  Many return year after year, telling us the miracles of goals being realized in their lives. Some laminate their goals and post them to bring the visions into every day.

Moving Visions Into Reality
Sunday, 10:30AM-5:30PM
Building on Saturday's goals, Sunday focuses on:
Utilizing practical strategies and planning tools to move treasured goals toward effective action plans and time lines.  Translating goals into accomplishments through the use of mind maps and flow charts.  Releasing old patterns and fears of success.  Discovering tools to ground your plans in time and space so they truly support achievement of your fondest visions.  Energizing new ways of being as you enjoy the compassionate support of this powerful circle of women affirming your new steps with you.

This day deepens our commitment to letting our goals guide our actions.”

The 14th Annual Edwardian Ball, Saturday, 8:00PM-2:00AM
The Regency Ballroom, 1300 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco

“What, pray tell, is The Edwardian Ball?

The Edwardian Ball is an elegant and whimsical celebration of art, music, theatre, fashion, technology, circus, and the beloved creations of the late, great author Edward Gorey. Set in our own version of ‘Edwardian’ times, this multi-media extravaganza has grown over the past decade from a small underground club night into an internationally recognized event, now operating with the blessing of The Edward Gorey Charitable Trust.

Costumed and enthusiastic attendees, traveling from as far as Australia, Japan, and the UK, flock to this San Francisco tradition for a delightful blend of ballroom dancing, live music, riveting stage shows, DJs, fine art galleries, a vending marketplace, absinthe cocktails, steam machinery, parlour games, sideshows, and more. All ages are welcome and appropriate in this darkly humorous and elegant setting, where literary aficionados rub elbows with insect-like creatures parading on stilts… where historically-accurate Edwardian recreationists waltz by a steam-powered tea garden… where the only guiding rule is that you join in on the fun!”

Healing the Divide: A Reconciliation Ritual for Men and Women
with The Sacred Future Collective
Friday-Sunday, January 24-26
Sonoma County  location given upon registration
$150

“Dominant culture has promoted an agenda for thousands of years of dividing men from the feminine energies, in women, in the Earth, and in themselves. Currently, human consciousness is taking a powerful turn towards the reclamation of the feminine. Women are stepping more into empowerment and men are stepping more into their hearts. Men and women are recognizing once again that we're more powerful together than apart. It's time to heal the divide. There are wounds on both sides, as the patriarchal paradigm has distorted and insulted both sexes through toxic shaming, promoting blame and feeding the realms of narcissism and victim consciousness.

The Sacred Future Collective is devoted to the uniting of the feminine and masculine energies on the planet on all levels. That is why we're hosting this three-day retreat focused on this crucial work, which is also deeply liberating and joyful!

At this retreat we will focus on:
Union between the inner male and female archetypes.
Men holding men through forgiveness and elevation.
Women holding women through forgiveness and elevation.
Daily Sacred Council circles.
A day-long ritual of reconciliation between women and men.
Visioning the potentials for planetary awakening and healing together! How can we help our communities heal through inviting men and women into reunion?

We Are Two Halves Of One Whole.
We Are Here To Be Each Other's Greatest Allies! Not Enemies.
Let's Lift Each Other Up And Elevate Consciousness Together.”

Baba Yaga’s House
crafting workshop with Ulla Milbrath and John B. McRae
Saturday-Sunday, February 1-2, 11:00AM-5:00PM
Castle in the Air 1805 Fourth Street, Berkeley, 510-204-9801
$300 includes materials
register in advance - this class will sell out!

“Charmed by a classic Slavic folktale, John and Ulla bring you this unique class. Baba Yaga is sometimes a wise woman; at other times she is a frightful hag. She flies around in a giant mortar and lives in a hut that stands on chicken legs surrounded by a skull fence. She kidnaps children on occasion (like the witch in the Hansel and Gretel tale) but is also sometimes sought out for wisdom and guidance by heroes.

Here is an opportunity for you to learn from two masters of fairy-tale art, as Ulla and John jointly teach the construction and decoration of Baba Yaga’s woodland home. On the first day of class, you’ll learn how to construct her hut out of chipboard, thatch the roof, and how to wind and attach the magical chicken legs which support the structure. The next day you’ll make tiny furniture from found objects for the cabin. To complete your folktale, you can choose to dress a mouse Baba Yaga, fabricated from re-claimed vintage mink fur over an anthropomorphic manikin by John and Ulla for you, with fabric scraps provided in class.”

Vintage Invasion

The Finnish Brotherhood Hall, 1970 Chestnut Street, berkeley
$7

“Vintage Invasion - where the old dances invade a new generation
Our crowd is growing and thriving... a really positive atmosphere!

Have you ever waltzed to Metallica or danced a polka to Lady Gaga? Yes?  Then you know what a great time it is, and we will see you there!  No?  Well it's never too late to start.  Since we have hundreds of years of waltz music to choose from, the variety makes a wonderful, festive evening.  This is a casual, neighborhood party: a chance to meet people, bounce around, and generally make merry.  We'll have a potluck; you are welcome to bring snacks if you like.  Your hosts always bring the punch and water.  No alcohol, please, as we sometimes have dancers under 21 attending.

All are welcome for the lesson, so we can get you moving and ready to sail across the floor.  If you're new to dancing we promise to be patient with you, and if you have waltzed before we will improve your technique.  After class, during the dance party, we will still be available to help you with what we taught you, and introduce you to some of our regulars.  They are well skilled, but don't be shy about asking them to dance with you too.  They'll probably be happy for the chance to show off. :)

8:00-9:00PM = Lesson in Vintage Waltz - no partner or experience needed
9:00PM-Midnight = Dance to Persephone and guest DJs playing lots of waltzes, and a little bit of many other partner dances.”

Tarot Social
with Z Budapest
Saturday, December 28, 1:00-4:00PM
Serpent's Kiss, 2015 N Pacific Avenue, Santa Cruz, 831-423-5477
Sliding scale $55 -$75

“Learn the secrets of reading tarot with one of the most well known and respected readers of all time, Z Budapest.

Zsusanna Budapest is known to some as The Queen of Tarot and is celebrated for legalizing all forms of divination and prophecy. Having been arrested for tarot reading in California, she fought to overturn the laws, making divination legal in our state.

Z's Tarot socials are hands-on, with actual readings and skilled interpretations explained.
So what actually happens at her Tarot Socials? in Z's words....

‘We begin with holding a circle. We hold each other’s hands. We hum to unify ourselves, to open our psychic eye to the incoming wisdom.

A light smudging with white sage elevates our minds and creates a path for our guiding spirits to come through.

I hand you the sacred oil to anoint your hands with before handling the cards. We both inhale this scent, an instant transportation into the temple.

Next I give you the deck to shuffle.

A good reader is synthesizing the meanings of the cards. This part is where the person who is the reader plays a major role. How intelligent is she? How well read? Does she know more than the prescribed meanings? How much experience does she have? Is she good at stepping aside and allowing the spiritual take center stage? Can she leave her own attitudes aside, and see purely the divine advice? These are the most difficult tasks.

In the Tarot Socials, I explain why I have chosen to say what I did, based on what cards, very informative for somebody who wishes to learn this kind of divination.

The Goddess work needs all of us to do our part - see you at this next Tarot Social!
Blessed be,
Z Budapest’

Z‘s stunning accuracy at Tarot Reading is well known in the tarot and prophecy communities. We are honored to bring Z's talents to you at Serpent's Kiss.”

As THOT is moving into this new phase, I invite the community to come together as we ‘catch the vision’ of what THOT is, and can be. What is the highest vision for THOT? What does that feel like? Who/what must we become? Visioning allows us to catch the highest possibilities.
We will also have time for personal visioning. What are you calling forth? What is the highest vision for your Life? This process is a meditative one that invites us to go within, listen, and receive insights about our Heart's desires.
Please join us!”

“Light is Returning!

The World Grows Cold, The Year Grows Old, But Hearts And Hearths Are Warm!
Let’s Gather Here At End Of Year And Banish Every Harm!

This is our opportunity to come together as a community, to banish any negativity we’ve picked up during the year and recharge after the excitement of the holidays, to celebrate the sun’s first steps back toward warmth and light, and to congratulate each other on having made it through another year. Children are particularly welcome. Try to let me know if you will be bringing them, so we have the right number of goodies.

This is also the time for pagan carols to celebrate the season. Bring copies of your favorites, and I’ll bring the Spiral songbooks.

Everyone should bring holiday leftovers to share, and some canned or boxed food for the Alameda Food Bank.

If you’d like to help contact me at 510-658-6033 or spiral-announce@thespiralpath.org

Objects may be charged on the altar during the rite. Wheel-chair accessible (let us know if you need someone to hold the door for you.) Family and child-friendly. Incense will be used in this ritual, unless requested in advance.”

“Sam Webster (founder of the Open Source Order of the Golden Dawn, author of Tantric Thelema, and Priest of Hermes and Hekate) hosts an open Dark of the Moon practice at The Sacred Well each month, making offerings to Hermes and Hekate.

The large wooden representation of Hermes, classically called a Herm, was consecrated and worshipped at PantheaCon 2013 by Pagans, Magickians, and spiritual practitioners from many different backgrounds in a large ceremony that drew heavily on classical Greek material.

The Herm now resides at the Sacred Well, and each month we gather to continue this sacred work with Dark Moon ritual for Hermes and Hekate, who were frequently honored at the crossroads together in ancient Greece. The practice that Sam shares in this circle is one he has maintained without fail since the Dark Moon of January 1992.
