What do you wish for?

Do you base our choices on what you want, or what you think you're supposed to want? Let yourself feel what you feel and want what you want, THEN engage your mind in the process. The best wishes are born from your heart.

Jennybach, aka Jenny Wilde, aka Doyenne Rowan Nightshade of the Bloodroot Honey Priestess Tribe, has an art show on exhibit at The Blue Danube Coffee House.

“Featuring cut-paper collage on panel and mixed-media shadowboxes, Jenny's art delves into the surreal realm of dreams, tarot archetypes, and women's history.”

Jenny says:
“When I close my eyes and sit very still, I can feel the ebb and flow of the perpetual motion of life. It pulses in all of us, but we generally do not choose to observe it. That is unfortunate - a great loss. Tiny pieces of matter and energy are continually swirling around and through us: great waves and tiny ripples. We spend most of our lives oblivious to them, yet, quantumly, we are always penetrating and being penetrated by people, rocks, cats, freeways, thoughts, light.

I don’t have any answers, or, rather, I have many answers, but they may or may not apply to the question at hand. The question that my existence answers is not one I know. However, I enjoy that mysterious conundrum - it pleases me greatly. I don’t need an answer; I am gratified by the process of seeking. The exploration of the question is its own reward. My work does not provide answers either, but, I hope, it poses a great many questions. Some of them are more obscure than others, but there is beauty in regarding the unknowable, as well.”

Our Theme: Technology As Savior!
Through a multitude of technological devices we have expanded our sense of what is real, what is possible, how we relate and what we find gratifying. We can text one another instantaneously across oceans, meet and converse online with groups of strangers at any given moment about the trajectory of asteroids, express our opinions to political leaders via e-mail, and expand our social network of ‘friends’ seemingly without limit! We watch reality shows about other’s lives and create better virtual versions of ourselves as we fly through the Interwebs in enhanced real-time. Miraculous devices have become so ingrained in who we are, how we work, think and relate that we could not imagine life without them or the immediacy and satisfaction they offer. And why would we?! Technology is SAVING our economy and way of life, even as it reinvents everything!

It is magic AND salvation! Or is it an addictive form of social euphoria? Maybe both.

We encourage you to embody and interpret this theme as you feel inspired, to bring some form of technology - whether an eggbeater or a mainframe; and merge with Technology to create a living altar to technologies - past, present and future!

…And if we can’t save the day, well… at least we’ll make a good night of it!

So, whether you come as a GIZMOpolitan, a GADJETarian, a Technopheliac…or skip all the BITS and BYTES and come as you truly are - we look forward to seeing you and creating a most unusual immersive social environment TOGETHER!

*Art Supplies To Bring For Discount: Supplies especially needed are watercolor brushes and paints, watercolor 140’ paper, quality marker sets, canvases, working sewing machines with all necessary parts included, and craft and jewelry supplies. These materials are provided to homeless and poor artists as a means of self-expression and economic support. Thank you for your generosity!
