Step Back In Time at Filoli
Wednesday, July 17, 5:30-7:30PM
Filoli, 86 Canada Road, Woodside
$40, tickets must be purchased in advance

“Step Back In Time - Music And Dress Of The 1920s

Filoli is a special place and we have planned a special summer evening that you won’t want to miss.  Imagine the way you might have dressed if you were a guest at Filoli in the 1920s.

If you are a fan of Downton Abbey or The Great Gatsby and enjoy a great garden party, you will enjoy this evening as Filoli ‘steps back in time’ with music and dress of the 1920s. Stroll the House and Garden in your period dress (optional) or don your fedora and come to see those who have also dressed for the occasion.

Partake in passed hors d’oeuvres and drinks, including white wine, iced tea, sparkling water and 21st Amendment craft beer, served by staff and volunteers in period dress reminiscent of Filoli’s 1920s household staff.

Listen to live music provided by The 22nd Street Regulars, a San Francisco jazz ensemble, performing New Orleans and Tin Pan Alley style jazz from the 1920s. Admire circa 1920s automobiles on display throughout the evening.”

My Body is a Living Temple - A Healing Journey
with Diana Melisabee
Sunday, July 21, 1:00-4:00PM
Ancient Future Urban Sanctuary, 2331 K Street, Sacramento
Sliding scale $30-$40

“Our beautiful bodies are much more than a bag of bones. They are the sacred temples that house our bright spirits. In this busy world, we often don't take time to nourish our temple and tend our inner hearth fire. Our bodies and soul become cluttered with our own old baggage - not to mention the baggage other people want to share. This weighs us down, and soon our fire is dampened or reduced to ashes.

In this experiential workshop, we will explore and de-clutter our inner temple spaces so that me may rekindle our brilliant light. Come and celebrate the unique temple that is home to your soul light.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a journal. You may also want to bring a small blanket, pillow, scarf, and whatever you need to be comfortable.

There will be water and herb tea provided.

For information and to register, please call Diana at 510-295-7108

Equal parts edge-walker, Temple Priestess and kitchen witch, Diana Melisabee walks the Path of the Sacred Hostess. She uses all her skills as shamanic practitioner, Reiki master and RN to facilitate healing through love, self-acceptance and food. Diana is currently manifesting her life calling as Director of Hestia's Mystery School and Goddess Temple.”

Basic VortexHealing Training
taught by Gailynn Carroll
Tuesday-Saturday, August 6-10,
9:00AM-5:00PM daily, first day begins at 8:45AM
Rudramandir, 830 Bancroft Way, Berkeley
Class Price for Early Registration is $640 for all five days
To register , please e-mail vortexhealingberkeley@gmail.com

“You are invited to explore and learn this amazing healing art!

The Nature of a Basic VortexHealing Training
A brief description of the Basic VortexHealing Training will not easily convey the depth of it, nor the fact that, for many, it is a life-changing event.  In the Basic VortexHealing Training you undergo a tremendous ‘light-acceleration’, which evolves your energy system and enables you to receive the VortexHealing transmissions from the Divine Source of our lineage. The main transmission is called the ‘Vortex Wheel’, which comes into manifestation in the heart. This is our energetic bridge for accessing Divine energy and consciousness. It enables (a) the channeling of 49 unique forms of Divine Vortex Energy, (b) the channeling of Merlin’s Healing Essence, which brings in the transformative power of Divine Consciousness, and (c) the ability to channel energy from the Divine Web.

The individual healing tools can be channeled separately or together. Since each form of Vortex Energy has a unique function (to energize, to ground, to nurture, to burn out infection, etc), and since Merlin’s Healing Essence accesses Divine Consciousness, this enables a very wide range of healing possibilities:
The energy system as a whole, or specific parts of it, can be deeply energized (or grounded, or nurtured, or transformed, etc.).
The meridian system can be cleared and harmonized.
‘Karma knots’ (which are a core support for karmic and emotional issues, held in the karmic body) can be cleared.
Deep clearings can be done through the subtle energetic bodies, chakras and physical tissues
Both emotional and physical issues can be deeply impacted by this work.
This healing can be done on yourself or others, in person or at a distance.

In addition, there are other transformative processes that are taught in class:
You learn how to get information from Divine Presence.
You learn meditations for connecting more deeply with Divine Presence and for opening the spiritual heart.
You recreate your Grounding Cord, which grounds you to the core of the earth and strengthens you. (Everyone is born with a grounding cord, but in the West, almost everyone loses it by the time they are 4 years old.)
You learn how to bring focus to the third eye.
You receive a lot of detailed information about our energy system and about how our issues become embedded in it.
You receive a very detailed map for the spiritual awakening that is generated by the Divine through the process and classes of VortexHealing.

During the Training there will be hands-on healing practice, both in healing oneself and others.

Please pass this info. along if you know someone that would like to take this class and deeply transform their life.

Please email me if you would like to Register for the Class or if you have any questions!

With Love and Light,
Robert Courtney (aka Dragonfly Adularia)”

Growing Goddess - A Rites of Passage Journey for Young Women
Monday-Friday, August 12-16,
Commonweal Garden at Regenerative Design Institute, Bolinas - exact address given upon registration
Ages 11-14
$650

“Growing Goddess is a 5-day overnight camp for young women, focused on marking a special time where a girl is stepping through the threshold into womanhood. We create a culture with the support of mentors and close connection to the earth that marks this powerful transition. This Rites of Passage draws out each young woman's gifts, inner resources and glimmering authenticity. We have elders share stories and teachings and create space for the young women to share their own stories of struggle and of hope. The competitiveness between young women easily melts into seeing each other as webs of support.

We will focus on self care through listening to our bodies and honoring our connection to the earth. As young women go through changes in their bodies, minds and spirits, on the way to womanhood, it is essential to have support from community, sisters, elders, and an intimate earth connection. We will learn about the changes within us, and around us and how to approach this ebb and flow in the Wise Woman Tradition.
The knowing is in the doing.

Activities will include:
Nature Connection

Bird Language

Tracking
Permaculture

Plant Wisdom
Ancestral Crafts
Primitive skills
Sit spots
Hiking
Ritual and ceremony
Self care and love
Singing, dancing and games

$650  Program Fee includes organic meals prepared together, campsite and program materials.”

Song for All Beings
A Musical Celebration of Lovingkindness
Saturday, November 2, 7:30PM
Marin Civic Center Veterans’ Memorial Theater, 10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael
$48-$62 in advance, $54-$68 at the door

“Jennifer Berezan and Edge of Wonder present the premiere performance of Song for All Beings, A Celebration of Lovingkindness. This musical meditation features an extraordinary gathering of musicians, dancers, activists, visual artists and spiritual teachers from around the world to create a communal ritual based in the Buddhist practices of metta (lovingkindness) and compassion. Based on the acclaimed recording In These Arms, A Song for All Beings, this unique event builds on Jennifer’s past visionary and ritual musical offerings, especially the beloved performances of Praises for the World.
Song for all Beings is a participatory musical journey to evoke peace, healing and unity for the earth and all beings.

As our culture has moved away from a connection to Nature and a felt sense of being part of the universal family of life, there is an abiding human need for contact with All That Is. Song for All Beings, which will continue as one integrated piece for over two hours, will provide a container in which this oneness can be catalyzed and experienced by everyone present.

Part of the 2013 concert’s proceeds will help to support grassroots organizations working for environmental and social justice.”
