What do you wish for?

Do you base our choices on what you want, or what you think you're supposed to want? Let yourself feel what you feel and want what you want, THEN engage your mind in the process. The best wishes are born from your heart.

CAYA Events for August 2013

______________________________________

Please note different time and location than usual!

CAYA’s Festival of Heart and Harvest
Saturday, August 3
6:00PM, ritual will start at 6:30PM
Picnic Site #1, Live Oak Park, 1301 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley
(This is a different location from years past. It is across the street from the Berkeley Art Center by the large chimney, we will have the CAYA Banner)
$10 donation requested

As we begin our turn toward the dark half of the year, our minds and hearts turn also to examine the nature of sacrifice. What does that mean in the now? When we already feel stretched to breaking, how can we make any further sacrifice? But sacrifice doesn't have to mean giving until it hurts; when we are already hurting we instead choose together to sacrifice our fear and move forward in love for the good of all. We choose to be open-hearted because our generosity of spirit creates abundance, and together we have bounty.

We give from our hearts to tend the community, we harvest a better world.
We are the bards, the voices of change. We feed each other as we are able, receive from others as we need and as they are able to give, and we seed the future with our benevolent intent.

Join us in honoring the crone goddess Cerridwyn and the heroic bard Taliesin as he sacrifices himself to bring Her wisdom and his inspiration to the world!

Please feel free to bring drums, rattles, shakers, and anything you wish to charge on the altar or in the beauty of the park.

We are also holding a food drive, so please bring a canned item or two to donate to the Alameda County Food Bank, or you can donate through our Virtual Food Drive; direct action begins with you!

We will be giving the donations a special ritual blessing to carry our love into the community.

“It is OFFICIAL!!!! The next CFE will be at Stinson Beach in August!!!

Lately I have been doing CFEs with admissions and other cost. It is long overdue to have a free/cheap CFE. So with much consideration (and a Mermaid for a wife) it is time for CFE to return to the beach and really enjoy summer.

As of now 3 seats are open in Hecate. If you are not riding with us please let me know so I can arrange a meeting spot.”
